Description

In this video clip, Rudy Tokiwa talks about his experience in the European Theater. He took part in the beach landing in Anzio, Italy, and met up with the 100th Infantry Battalion in Rome. His first experience in combat was during the advance to Leghorn. He talks about the friendships he made with the Italian natives in Pisa and Arno. After the Rescue of the Lost Battalion, a ceasefire was made with the German outfit in Monte Carlo. He describes his experience during the Champagne Campaign, and about taking the new recruits, that were sent to France, under their wing.
