Murakami discusses going to Tanforan Temporary Detention Facility and the living conditions. He shares his thought on how the camp experience is different from Nisei to Issei. When Murakami goes to Rochester for seminary school, he contributes studying, playing and working help interrogate the Nisei with the school community. Murakami discusses his Father, Mother and siblings. Growing up Murakami does not have much communication from his Issei parents about their immigration to the United States. He contributes this upbringing to not facing discrimination or racism. Murakami's Father is religious and influences him to attend seminary school. Due to the enemy alien law, Murakami;s family except his Father goes to Japan. He comes back several years later and recalls Pearl Harbor and forced removal.
