Sato discusses traveling overseas and spending time at a replacement depot before meeting up with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and getting assigned to the 100th Infantry Division. He then talks about his experiences during his overseas duty including discussing his weapon, guard duty, food, living conditions, and Sadao Munemori. Next, Sato talks about the Army point system; discusses his post-war occupation assignment guarding supplies and POWs; and discusses getting discharged and returning to Chicago. Lastly, Sato discusses his post-war employment and attending school; moving back to California; discusses his children; and talks about his brother's medical practice.
