He would first stop at Fort Myer, where he would be asked to march to the White House, as President Truman gave his famous speech. He would end up going to a trade school in Chicago, becoming a civil engineer. After this, he talks about the legacy of the Nisei and how their actions proved them loyal. Finally, he talks about his marriage and family background, and gives a message for future generations. </text>

Next, he talks about seeing the German soldiers retreating as they continued their march forward, sitting on the top of the tanks as they moved through towns. Shortly after, he would hear about the end of the war, being in Milan when Mussolini was caught and killed. He also talks about being able to go on short trips to Switzerland as he awaited his turn to return to the United States. </text>

On his way to Camp Shelby, he would make a stop in Jackson, Mississippi and notice the segregation and prejudice that was prevalent throughout the South. Next, he talks about his experiences in Camp Shelby, joining up with the boxing team and going to Rohwer Concentration Camp for an exhibition. They would soon after get shipped overseas, landing first in Glasgow, Scotland, before going on to Le Havre in France. As this was just after the Lost Battalion campaign, he talks about the more relaxed two months they had in France before being sent over to Italy. </text>

                <text>Sato and his family would be evacuated from their farm, and moved to a temporary detention center in Puyallup, called Camp Harmony. He talks about the lack of privacy and the barbed wire that surrounded the area. After this, they would be moved again, but this time to a more permanent location at Minidoka Concentration Camp. He talks about the actions that lead to the executive order, including Yellow peril and certain congressmen not getting supported. After this, he talks about being transported by train to Idaho, with the shades drawn, and seeing nothing around at all but mountains. He talks more about the living conditions of the barracks and finding work as a swamper, while attending high school. He would then be drafted into the Army, heading to Fort Douglas for his induction. </text>
