George Aratani begins this interview part discussing how the bombing of Pearl Harbor prevented him from being able to completely take control of his father's businesses, and then arranging management of the businesses while in internment camp to an American owned company. Next, while in camp he is forced to sell his father's businesses, and gets recruited to become a Japanese language instructor with the Military Intelligence Service. Lastly, he talks about his role as instructor, student course schedule while in language school, and then recounts his marriage and starting an import business after the war.
