Hada discusses going to Camp Shelby, and not traveling into town because he felt there was discrimination against Japanese Americans. After Camp Shelby, Hada went to Louisiana Maneuvers, where he had an assignment making dog tags. Hada then talks about traveling overseas to North Africa, his thoughts and feelings regarding incarceration camps, his first assignment in Oran, and a story regarding stolen K-Rations while traveling to Salerno. Lastly, he talks about experiencing enemy fire with German soldiers, his assignment directing artillery as a forward observer, and receiving a Silver Star.
