In the beginning of part 6, Mr. Yamane discusses his finding of Japanese documents that would lead to the bombing of several munitions, ammunitions, and manufacturing plants. After his initial work at the Pentagon was complete, Mr. Yamane was selected for a secret mission and sent to Allied headquarters in France. After the fall of Berlin, Mr. Yamane was able to travel around Europe and visit his brother and his friends in the 100th Infantry Battalion.

Mr. Yamane discusses his time at Waseda University, which included military training, before returning home to Hawaii. Mr. Yamane next describes the Selective Service draft and being drafted to the Army a short time before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Needing to report to Schofield Barracks, Mr. Yamane describes driving past Pearl Harbor on the day of the attack and describes the horrific details of the day and the trying times of the following few days. This portion concludes with Mr. Yamane describing what changed for Japanese-Americans serving in the military after the attack, as well as his placement into the National Guard.

An account of the resource
Togami talks about being wounded in France from shrapnel and being shipped back to the United States for recovery. While at the hospital in New Mexico, he would hear of the end of the war and when fully recovered, be discharged from the Army. He decided to pursue his mechanical engineering degree and would be called to work at Sandia National Labs in Washington DC. He also talks about his wife and children. An account of the resource
Togami continues his recollection of his basic training at Camp Shelby, including scoring high on his tests and playing cribbage. He would then be shipped overseas, taking a convoy to North Africa, before finally being dropped in Naples. There, he would have his first taste of war, working with the instrumentation section, and being a surplus soldier. He would begin his assignment as a forward observer at Leghorn and be 2nd in command, where he would get close to being in combat. Next, he talks about his experiences in both Italy and France, where he would be wounded with shrapnel. He would receive a Purple Heart for his efforts.

Description
An account of the resource
Togami begins the interview with a brief introduction and talking about his family background. His father came over from Japan and went to Colorado to farm, and after having an arranged marriage, would settle down in New Mexico. Togami talks about growing up in Bluewater and attending Grants High School. He would attend New Mexico A&M and begin his degree in electrical engineering. After this, he would hear about the attacks on Pearl Harbor on the radio, and because he wasn't able to find work after graduating, he decided to join the Army. He would get inducted at Fort Bliss and join the 522nd Artillery at Camp Shelby where he trained with the instrumentation section.

Inami talks about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, getting discharged, and going back to college post-war. He then talks about receiving a commission for signal corps and getting recalled into the Korean War, as well as his duties during the Korean War in communications, and his combat experiences in Korea. Lastly, Inami talks about his experiences while working at Livermore Laboratory on nuclear projects, reuniting with future wife, discusses his daughter, and provides a message to future generations.

He then talks about induction and basic trianing before going to Military Intelligence Service Language School (MISLS) at Fort Snelling; as well as his experiences at Fort Snelling such as his interactions with local civilians, and MISLS classes both as a student and as an instructor. Next, Inami discusses Kibei and their roles in MIS; his experiences during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; and his knowledge of atomic bombs and radar from courses he took in college.

Inami talks about his freshman orientation at UC Berkeley and his experiences with discrimination, and discusses how his military service as well as the existence of the 442nd helped him with his career. He then talks about his family's forced removal including discussing items that were confiscated by the sheriff's office as well as having to discard items such as photographs. Next, Inami discusses the living conditions at both Fresno temporary detention facility and Jerome Concentration Camp; and discusses other experiences at Jerome such as friendships, meeting his future wife, and his job helping the assistant electrical engineer of the camp. Lastly, Inami talks about leaving Jerome to go to Illinois Tech, and volunteering for Military Intelligence Service (MIS).

After his time overseas, Tsuda would head back to the United States and get his discharge from the Army. He would attend school with the GI Bill and learn about horticulture. He would become a landscape contractor and would marry and have children. He quickly discusses his families knowledge of his time during the war before giving a message for future generations and talking about the legacy of the Nisei soldiers.

Description

Tsuda continues his recollection of his experiences overseas including getting trench foot and dealing with cold weather. He next talks about the various campaigns he was involved with including Bruyeres and the experience of liberating that area. During his time in Europe, he would also end up getting wounded in action, getting shrapnel in his face. He would head to the 92nd Division hospital but was denied entrance, so he would head to a rest camp instead. While there, the 442nd would continue their push through the Gothic Line, which spelled the end of the war for Germany. He would go on a pass to Switzerland before being sent home. After arriving in New York, he would take a plane to Camp Beale where he would get discharged.

Description
An account of the resource
Tsuda talks about facing discrimination after the war and not being served at a gas station. He would go on to volunteer with the Army, get inducted at Fort Douglas and began basic training at Camp Shelby. There, he would join up with E company and learn bayonet training, among other things. He would take a furlough before being shipped overseas in a convoy of ships. They would land in Sicily first, before docking in Naples where they would begin their first campaign, going through Civitavecchia and then Hill 140. He talks about the battles and the intricacies of war.

Description
An account of the resource
Tsuda discusses playing football in high school and being named the team captain. Next, he talks about where he was when he first heard on the radio that the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor. Due to the executive order 9066, he and his family would be forced to evacuate their home and move to the SalinasTemporary Detention Center, which was the rodeo grounds. After a short time there, they would head to Poston Concentration Camps, where they would sneak off to the Colorado River and eat rattlesnake soup. He would work there, putting concrete into the various structures before saying "yes, yes" to the loyalty questions and volunteering to join the Army.

Description
An account of the resource
Masuo Tsuda talks about his family coming from the Ehime prefecture in Japan, and settling in the Watsonville area of California, starting a farm. Masuo would grow up on that farm, learning how to farm while attending both english and Japanese language schools. He would grow up with mostly caucasian friends and would become close with them, his group of friends would even try come visit him while at the Salinas assembly center. Next, he talks about family values, recreational activities and his decision to join the Army.
