Kitagawa finishes the interview telling the story of how he received his Bronze Star, including the battle and the ceremony afterwards. Next, he talks about his first and second marriages and his family. He also gives a message to future generations about his time in the 442nd and to remember what the Nisei did for the world. He finishes with some final notes and shows some artifacts.

Kitagawa discusses revisiting Bruyeres for the 50th anniversary, and seeing the monument there dedicated to the 442nd. After this, he talks about the end of the war in Europe and seeing the German prisoners of war. He would be able to take a short trip to see Switzerland before returning home to the United States. He would be home for a short time before re-enlisting into the Army and continuing his career overseas in the Philippines. He talks about the various experiences while re-enlisted, including the officers and colonels that he was able to work with. Next, he talks about the legacy of the 442nd and the accomplishments they had.

Kitagawa talks about getting rest and relaxation during the war and the activities that they would do, such as playing football. Next, he talks more about the Lost Battalion campaign, and moving onto Nice, where he would be able to get a hot meal and hot shower. They would have the Champagne Campaign, where the replacements would meet them and Kitagawa would shoot artillery fire at nearby German soldiers. After this, they would go back to Italy to try and break the Gothic Line, hiking up Mount Fogarito in the middle of the night. He discusses more about what the L company went through and his feelings on the work they did and the reunions thereafter.

Kitagawa discusses his unit, the teamwork that made them bond and the toughness of losing a friend in the war. He talks a bit more about Camp Shelby, including the weather, before talking about his shipment to Italy. Once arrived, he would immediately notice the poor conditions of the city and would occasionally talk with civilians. After this, he talks about sending letters to family back home and some of his war experiences, meeting up with the 100th Infantry Battalion and marching on from Italy to France. In France, he would liberate Bruyeres and rescue the Lost Battalion.

Kitagawa talks about his life after high school, graduating and then working on the farm. During this time, two of his brothers would be drafted into the Army, one being part of the 45th Infantry and the other in the 442nd Regiment. Next, he talks about the attacks on Pearl Harbor and people getting picked up by the FBI. As the evacuations took place, he would pack up his things and go meet with his family, and head to Santa Anita race track, followed by Rohwer concentration camp in Arkansas. He talks about the poor living conditions there and having no privacy, leading him to volunteer for the Army to escape the camp. He would immediately be accepted and head to Camp Shelby. There, he would be assigned to L company and begin his training as a rifleman.

Kitagawa begins the interview with an introduction on growing up in Northern California. As his family was in the farming business, he would help there, and enjoy his off-time by playing baseball and picnicking. Next, he talks about his family, which came from Japan, his mother would settle in as a housewife and teach ikebana in the community. He also talks about his childhood years, speaking a mix of Japanese and English in the house, while having lots of siblings. In high school, he would make friends of all different backgrounds and never know what it was like to have money, as it was the Great Depression.

Minamide discusses the war ending and homecoming. Before being discharge at Camp Beale, he is ask to join the Military Intelligence Service . Since his Father is passed away, he feels his duties are to return home to his family. When returning home, Minamide's Mother lives in Long Beach Government project called Truman Boyd. This is where a major of Issei and Nisei lives. After the war, Minamide reaches out to his brother in Japan to bring him to the United States. However, His brother prefers to live in Japan since he has a family. His brother comes out to visit Minamide several times.
When reflecting on wartime, Minamide is proud for his time of service; however, he wants to forget about the war. He gives credit to the other Nisei who experience more combat . Due to the war, Minamide is unable to graduate in 1942 from high school. In 1991, he receives his high school diploma with 12 other Nisei. He is happy that the 1991 class honors the class of 1942 by sharing their graduation ceremony.
Post-war for employment, Minamide works as a TV repaiman and then opens a dry cleaning business for 22 years before retiring. He has three children and eight grandchildren. In 1948 he meeting his wife and gets married in 1950. Minamide and his wife Takako discusses the secret of a long marriage and
words for their children and grandchildren.

Minamide discusses arriving in France right after the 442nd Regimental Combat Team rescues the Lost Battalion. He gets assign to L Company to go to Italy for the push with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Minamide recalls making foxholes and describes how they shield you from artillery fire. During wartime, Minamide is grateful for rest time. He says, there are essentials that are valuable to the soldiers such as hot showers, socks, water, and hot meals.
Reflecting back on wartime, Minamide feels the heroes of the war are the medics who helps the wounded. He recalls a time when a soldier is hurt and medic comes to assist the wounded in the middle of battle. When artillery fire is happening, Minamide says you can tell the difference between German and Untied States military gun fire. The German's is more rapid sounds and fact pace. At the end of the war, during the final push of the Gothic Line, Minamide discusses advancing the mountain and the war ending.

Minamide discusses evacuating at 17 years-old to Colorado and seeing snow on the way there. Minamide would correspond with friends to join them to work on the sugar beet plantation in Colorado. Minamide would also correspond with his Father. When his Father is released from camp, he would spend six months with the family before passing away.
Minamide and his brother receives draft notices after filling yes yes on the Loyalty Questionnaire. Since their Father passes away, Minamide's Brother does not go to basic training. Minamide takes the physical exam and has high blood pressure. He is sent to the hospital for treatment and is given kitchen duty before heading off to Camp Blanding. Minamide deals with some obstacles before going overseas. He leaves with a different company than he trains with because he does not have a gas mask. Before leaving, his company is held back due to the measles.

Minamide discusses December 8, 1941 when he comes home from school, he learns that his Father is picked up by the FBI. His father is brought to Tunga then Bismarck,North Dakota. Minamide and his family waits for the Government to give information about his Father in order to go visit him. Minamide describes his family's reaction to his Father being picked up.
Minamide and his brother go visit their Father and recalls saying good-bye. At this time the President declares war on Japan and evacuation notice is announced. Minamide and his family volunteers to evacuate with their family friends to Colorado. He describes the traveling conditions, what they carry and left behind. While traveling to Colorado there are rumors that there is no selling of food and gas to Japanese Americans. However, there is no problem traveling to Colorado. Once in Colorado, the family stays in a chicken coop until they found a house.

Minamide discusses his favorite baseball player. Another sport Minamide is involved in is Judo. He practice Judo for six years and is part of a Judo Team. He recalls going to Judo Tournaments and matches in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.
Since being from Santa Maria, Guadalupe, he discusses the difference between the city life in Little Tokyo and living in a rural community, Minamide recalls an incident when his Father is returning back from Japan and how there is issues docking the boat. Even with the ties with Japan, Minamide relates his identity as American.
On December 7, 1941 Minamide learns about the bombing of Pearl Harbor on the radio. He is at home with his family about to celebrate a wedding. He discusses his reactions to the news and the following days after.

Minamide discusses his name, birth place, and birth date. His Father and Mother are Issei and have four children. In 1927, he goes to Japan with his family. Essential, the Minamide losses two children over in Japan. The oldest daughter passes away and the the youngest son is given up for adoption due to citizenship.
When the Minamide family returns to Los Angeles, Minamide's Father goes to University State of California when the farming business goes well. He receives a diploma in Business Administration. Growing up Minamide goes to Japanese school after English school. On the weekends he would help on the farm and goes to church on Sunday. He recalls his upbringing and sports played in High School.
