Next, he discusses his mother, and his parents sending him to Japan to learn Japanese language and culture. An account of the resource
In this segment, Tsuneo "Cappy" Harada discusses his work as a baseball promoter and adviser during his service in Allied-occupied Japan. Serving as an aide for General Marquat, Harada was given the freedom to re-introduce professional baseball to Japan, which helped improve relations between the Japanese people and Americans working during the occupation. From there, Harada was able to build and develop a professional baseball league in Japan, which is an achievement he expresses immense pride at. Harada also reflects on the many relationships and friendships he built during his career, including Generals Marquat and MacArthur, Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe. Harada speaks especially fondly of his friendship with General Marquat, who he served as an aide for.

Description
An account of the resource
In this segment Ben Uyemura talks about his upbringing in a poor neighborhood of Los Angeles. His parents did not have a lot but he remembers they both were hardworking people. He talks about the activities he was in as a kid in grammar school, and the highlights of high school, especially building a car. His employment primarily was working as a truck driver, but he also worked in produce and plumbing. After being drafted into the service, he became a truck driver. As war broke out after Pearl Harbor, his picture appeared in the newspaper due to being in town in his uniform carrying out orders.
