In this segment of the interview Nakawatase is asked about the racial makeup of his neighborhood and different ethnic groups that lived amongst each other. He speaks about the beginning of the war and how it became a concern among the Japanese and the process they went to being relocated. They left a life behind and brought the bare minimum with them to the camps. Nakawatase talks about the area of the camp he and his family went to until the end of the war and what it was like to live there.

Sato discusses his familial origin and description. He grows up in a farm community and discusses the Alien land law. He recalls racism pre-war and going into an American Concentration Camp after Pearl Harbor. He soon joins the military and is selected into the Military Intelligence Service (MIS). After the war he stays in Japan for occupation and returns home after several months.
