Taba continues talking about his time in combat throughout Europe with the 100th Infantry Regiment. He talks about various battles that he was involved with, including the Gothic Line and the Lost Battalion. Shortly after this, the war came to an end and Taba was sent back to the mainland. He also discusses the importance of the 100th Infantry Battalion and how they differed from other regiments. He would end up heading back to Hawaii to get his discharge at Hickam field. He would focus on a few different jobs in the next years, including working for the Army National Guard. He would also take up painting during this time and would continue to do so his whole life. Next, he speaks about his family and how he met his wife. Finally, he gives a message for his grandchildren, saying to be humble and care for others.
