Ohama describes a Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR); discusses the duties of an interrogator; talks about the end of the war and getting sent to Japan; and discusses the goals of an interpreter. He then talks about his experiences in Japan including his interactions with Japanese citizens; promoting and educating democracy; discusses an election in Japan; talks about his experiences while on furlough; and tells a story regarding a girl he met while at a sumo tournament. Next, Ohama talks about meeting his wife, meeting relatives while he was in Japan, provides some thoughts regarding his experiences in occupied Japan, and discusses the "Japanese American Creed" written by Mike Masaoka. Ohama then talks about returning to the United States, working, going to school for dental techonology, getting married, his children, his thoughts regarding the Hanshi Oral History Program, and provides a message to future generations, Lastly, Ohama's son reads a copy of the "Japanese American Creed"; and Ohama shows and describes his discharge record, pictures of his family, and a transcript of a testimony he gave in front of the Congress judiciary committee.
