Kazuo Fujii recounts his unit going to southern France, and shipping out back to Italy to participate in the attacks on the Gothic Line. Next, he talks about his platoon sergeant and how everyone followed his orders, and then the Nisei soldiers themselves needing to keep moving forward in battle. Lastly, he discusses the end of the war and his long fight to deal with the horrors of war that he had seen.

An account of the resource
After his time in the service, Nagano would begin his career as a trader of securities. He would work for a couple of different firms before retiring and opening up his own firm with some partners, called Westfield Investment Group. Next, he discusses the importance of Japanese Americans serving in the Army and the memorials that have been put up because of it. He also talks about the process of how to get these types of memorials put into place. After this, he talks about his children and grandchildren and gives a message for future generations.
After Jack Nagano's interview is complete, his wife Louise is then interviewed for a short time. She gives a short introduction of her family and how she met Jack. Then she talks about her whereabouts during the evacuation and while the war was happening. She would live in Minnesota, and work as a housemaid until Jack was able to come back home. After this, she talks about his return home and their move back to Bell in California.

Description
An account of the resource
Tsuji discusses traveling through Europe during the war with some guys in his company, taking a Jeep into Florence and noticing the cathedrals and buildings, which interested him. He would explore the area more and take pictures of various places, eventually deciding to become an architect. He would attend University of Hawaii and then finish up his college years at UC Berkeley. He would become an architect after graduation and work throughout Los Angeles, his favorite architect being himself and Frank Lloyd Wright. Next, he talks about his war experiences during basic training, having guard duty and watching over German prisoners of war. After this, he talks about the legacy of the Nisei soldiers.

Tanaka talks about the surrender of both the German and the Japanese Armies and how he had to stay in Italy for a little bit longer, guarding prisoners of war. He would come back from Europe and be discharged from the Army at Fort Sheridan, before heading to Chicago to begin his career in art. There, he would start a family and work for Wrigley Gum. Iwasaki talks about duties in communications such as laying down wires, and being a courier to deliver documents between the company and the battalion. Saito discusses his experiences on the front lines as a mail clerk. He shares recollections of other 442nd soldiers and describes what it was like for non-combatant soldiers: medics, mail clerk, drivers, etc. He also talks about recreational activities and travels and he did. In addition he talks about his return to the U.S. after the war ended.

An account of the resource
In this segment, Katsumi "Kats" Hikido shares many personal memories involving his fallen comrades and their families. Hikido becomes emotional at recalling how the family of a fallen Nisei soldier, a friend in his squad, was forced to hold the traditional memorial service in the mess hall at an American concentration camp. He elaborates by talking about other Nisei soldiers whose families he connected with over the years.
