Asato continues talking about his first combat while in Italy, at the Rome-Arno area. He talks about being able to see Florence from a distance and the tree bursts that could kill a soldier instantly. While there, he would get sick and end up in a hospital, joining instead, a chemical mortar company where he would be the only Japanese American in the unit. Soon after, he would hear of the end of the war while in Germany and head back to the United States. After stopping first in Boston and San Francisco, he would get back to Hawaii and get discharged at Fort Kamehameha. He would rest for a short time at home and do some labor work before heading back into the Army for the Korean War. He talks about the combat there, and moving up to sergeant first class, in charge of one of the squads. He would once again return to Hawaii, but this time with his wife, whom he met in Japan. He talks about his family, including children and grandchildren and talks about picking up some war artifacts before he came back, including a German helmet.

Oye continues his recollection of joining the Army by taking his brothers draft spot and reporting to Camp Robinson. He would first begin his training there before being sent to Camp Crowder to begin training with the Quartermaster Corps, and not being around many Nisei soldiers. Next, he talks about Executive Order 9066 and his parents being sent to the Puyallup assembly center and then Minidoka concentration camp in Idaho. He would be reassigned to training at Camp Carson, then Camp Hale to do office work before finally landing at Camp Shelby in Mississippi. There, he found out about the 442nd Regiment being formed and would become a squad leader. He talks about the maneuvers and Earl Finch, and what it was like to be in the South during that time. After this, he would be sent to Newport News to be shipped out to Europe.

Tsuda continues his recollection of his experiences overseas including getting trench foot and dealing with cold weather. He next talks about the various campaigns he was involved with including Bruyeres and the experience of liberating that area. During his time in Europe, he would also end up getting wounded in action, getting shrapnel in his face. He would head to the 92nd Division hospital but was denied entrance, so he would head to a rest camp instead. While there, the 442nd would continue their push through the Gothic Line, which spelled the end of the war for Germany. He would go on a pass to Switzerland before being sent home. After arriving in New York, he would take a plane to Camp Beale where he would get discharged.

Sato looks through a few more pictures, while narrating his whereabouts at the end of the war, going from Ghedi through Florence, processing prisoners of war, and getting promoted to staff sergeant. As he didn't have enough points to head home yet, he would continue staying at the POW camp and would get to travel to Switzerland. Shortly after, he would return to the United States, first stopping in New York before heading back to Chicago to get his discharge. His family in the meantime would head back to Fresno, where he would learn that his car was still there, safe and sound. After this, he talks about his family background, including meeting his wife and his children and grandchildren.

Tahara discusses his time at Camp Shelby in Mississippi, training with other Nisei soldiers, including some Nisei officers that had come from Fort Benning. After this, he discusses the American concentration camps and how the Hawaiian soldiers felt sympathy for the mainland soldiers, seeing what they were going through. During his basic training, he would be trained in light machine guns, becoming a squad leader. After this, he talks about traveling with his furloughs to Chicago and New York, and taking leave to visit Hattiesburg, where segregation was in full effect. He would then be shipped overseas and land in Naples, Italy where he would join the 100th Infantry Battalion with company B. He talks about the cold weather that he experienced and the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion.

Thomas Takemoto was part of the 1399 Engineer Construction Battalion. During World War II, the 1399 Engineer Construction Battalion's job was to construct facilities that were needed by the military -- i.e. water tanks, jungle training facilities. While serving in the military, Thomas realized that there was little team work involved, and rather everyone was looking out for themselves. He describes how the First Sergeant of his company always gave him a hard time. After being discharged, he joined different veteran organizations.
