Description
An account of the resource
Hinatsu talks more about the rescue of the Lost Battalion, including a parade that followed the rescue. Following this they would get some rest and relaxation during the Champagne Campaign, going through the South of France. Shortly after they war would end and they would continue on in Europe for the military occupation. They would help to process the German prisoners of war before returning back to the United States at Newport News. Next, he speaks about receiving the Bronze Star and began his career in farming, settling in Fruitland, Idaho. After this, he talks about his marriage and family background and finishes with a message for future generations.

Description
An account of the resource
Hinatsu would arrive in Naples after a long journey across the ocean. He talks about his war experiences and route that the unit took while in combat. First, he talks about going through Civitavecchia and Sasseta, stopping at Hill 140, where the 442nd took heavy casualties. Throughout the war, he would be assigned to set wire down to help with communications at the front line. He also talks about the shelling that the German soldiers shot at them, including a close call that threw Hinatsu out of a trench, leaving him shaking with fear. Next, they would head through Bruyeres and the Vosges Mountains, where they would face tree bursts and rescue the Lost Battalion.

Description
An account of the resource
Hinatsu discusses the regimental structure of the Headquarters company and communications platoon. While at Camp Shelby, he would begin his work in the cadre, teaching discipline to the new Army recruits. He talks about the Hawaiian soldiers and learning pidgin english, while the weather was hot and humid. He also talks about going into Hattiesburg and seeing the segregated structures. His duty with the wire section, would be to lay wire down for communication channels. After Camp Shelby, he would be shipped overseas, many soldiers getting seasick and gambling along the way.
