Description

Tatsuo Yamane was born in Hawaii and attended grammar school in Japan, where he acquired excellent Japanese reading and writing skills. He later finished his high school education in Fresno, California. During his military service he was a Japanese interrogator for the Military Intelligence Service.

Yamane served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre in New Guinea and Morotai Island in Indonesia.
