Description

Senator Daniel Inouye talks about his reaction to being upgraded to receiving the Medal of Honor and his subsequent studies surrounding qualifiers for receiving medals and awards. He notes that recipients of awards are rarely medics. He then talks about the legacy of Nisei soldiers in World War II and what he hopes future generations will take away from the events of World War II especially regarding the actions of the United States government.
