Description

Sakai discusses combat experiences during the Gothic Line including talking about the rescue of Daniel Inouye after he was wounded. Then, Sakai and Teruya describe German soldiers; discuss the end of the war; and talk about corresponding with their families while overseas. Next, Sakai and Teruya discuss attending USO shows; getting passes to France and Italy; and discusses some of their fellow soldiers. Lastly, Sakai discusses returning home and getting discharged; talks about his wife; and discusses the history of his family home.
