Description

Yamate discusses his duties as a supply sergeant; talks about organizing and attending reunions; and discusses visiting his wife and son while they were incarcerated at Poston. He then talks about sending money to his wife while he was overseas, discusses his wife’s experiences at Poston, and talks about his experiences with discrimination while in Arizona. Next, Yamate talks about his combat experiences in France and Italy; discusses religion; and talks about the differences between German and American weapons. Lastly, Yamate talks about the end of the war; provides an explanation of what a “kitchen train” is; and talks about the Army's modes of transportation to and throughout Europe.
