Description

Ichiuji talks about being shipped overseas, first going to Newport News before going on a 28 day convoy to Italy. When arriving in Italy, he would immediately notice the destruction of Naples, and would then move up to Bagnoli, where they would be joined by the 100th Infantry. They would continue moving through Italy, joining up with the 34th Division. Next, he talks more about the combat experiences that he had, being part of the artillery team, and the process of what the team did. After this, he talks about the Hill 140 campaign and liberating Leghorn, followed by a break as they waited for replacements.
