Description

Ariyoshi discusses his experiences becoming an elected representative in Hawaii, and running for lieutenant governor. As lieutenant governor, Ariyoshi worked closely with Governor Jack Burns, and became acting governor when Governor Burns became ill. He then talks about the importance of spending time with his family, discusses some of the goals he wanted to accomplish while governor, and talks about some of the difficulties as well as the best experiences as governor.
