Description

Nakabe discusses his first experiences after landing in Naples; talks about civilians he encountered; and describes the Combat Infantryman Badge. He then talks about meeting up with the 100th Infantry Battalion; discusses different uses for Army helmets; talks about how he bathed while in combat; and discusses his first day in combat. Next, Nakabe talks about casualties of war; and describes an incident where he assisted in rescuing a fellow solider who was in need of medical attention. Lastly, Nakabe discusses getting wounded, and talks about his most difficult combat experience.
