Description

Kitada talks about his experiences with weapons training, provides some thoughts regarding going overseas, and discusses his experiences during his furlough including staying with a former neighbor and visiting his family at Manzanar Concentration Camp. He then talks about traveling to Europe on the Queen Mary and his experiences in New York. Next, Kitada talks about his first combat experiences in Southern France, discusses his mortar assignment carrying ammunition, and talks about his living conditions in Italy. Lastly, Kitada discusses learning about President Roosevelt’s death, and talks about soldiers who were killed in action.
