Description

Izumigawa discusses combat experiences and describes mines; and talks about receiving a care package during the Champagne Campaign which included a Senninbari (Japanese good luck charm). He then talks about his brother's military service; the end of the war; and his assignments processing German POWs and as a jeep driver. Next, Izumigawa talks about getting a pass to visit Florence; returning to the United States; and discusses his unit receiving a Presidential Unit Citation. Izumigawa also talks about his post-war experiences including attending college, his employment as a teacher, marriage, daughters, and hobbies. Lastly, Izumigawa talks about the accomplishments of Nisei veterans, and discusses career opportunities for Nisei.
