He then talks about his interactions with replacement soldiers, his combat experiences after returning to Italy, his thoughts regarding the end of the war; and describes a close call while in Italy. Lastly, Nagaki discusses his best and worst war experiences, traveling back to the United States on an airplane; and discusses receiving a Bronze Star.
