Description
Oshita begins the interview talking about her family background, her father being born in Hawaii and going back to Japan at a young age and her mother coming from Kochi, Japan. She talks more about how the families came to Hawaii and the jobs they took up once arriving in Hawaii. Her mother would learn to dress Japanese style and would show off her talent at the Cherry Blossom Festival. After this, she talks about the discipline that her parents instilled in her and her siblings. Next, she talks about her childhood home, and the culture that was taught to her from a young age, such as New Years celebrations.
