Nishimoto talks more about his war experiences, including learning some Italian and even seeing the Pope. After this, he talks about the rescue of the Lost Battalion, dealing with extreme darkness and heavy casualties. Next, he speaks about the Gothic Line push, pushing through the dense Vosges Mountains to break through the line in thirty minutes. He talks more about his time in Europe, such as getting home-cooked meals by Italian civilians and seeing the black market transactions. He also talks about getting trench foot and where he was when he first heard that the war had ended.
