Sasai discusses his parents including retelling the story about how and why they immigrated to Hawaii. He also talks about his father's childhood, and discusses his grandfather on his mother's side. Next, Sasai talks about attending school; playing sports; attending Japanese Language school; and his father's employment as both an insurance agent and bank manager. Lastly, Sasai talks about his sisters, and discusses the public school system in Hawaii prior to World War Two.
