Katagiri discusses a story about his birth; and talks about his father including discussing his employment and immigration from Japan. He then talks about his childhood in Kent, Washington and discusses his experiences growing up within a Japanese American community on a dairy farm, attending Japanese language school, food, chores, and siblings. Next, Katagiri talks about his brother's military service, his family's experiences after being separated during forced removal, and his family's friendship with their neighbors. Lastly, Katagiri talks about visiting his old neighborhood after the war; playing sports; attending public school; and his interest and hobbies within aviation.
