Description

Yoshitake talks about meeting his wife; discusses his children; talks about sharing his war experiences with his grandson; and discusses his participation in veterans associations. He then talks about sharing war stories with the public, provides a message to future generations, and provides though thoughts regarding the Hanashi Oral History Program. Next, Yoshitake shows and describes photographs of his platoon in Genoa, an Italian Japanese girl he met in Florence, and a family photograph taken at [Rohwer] incarceration camp. Lastly, Yoshitake shows and describes a leaflet that was dropped from a bomber at the end of the war; and shows and describes patches, badges, and medals such as a Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, and Good Conduct Medal.
