Description

Takashi Matsui begins the interview talking about his family background and his parents coming from Japan and moving to the west coast of the United States. At the young age of three, he would actually move back to Japan, where he would attend school and live with his grandparents until the end of high school. He would then return to the United States, taking a two week journey to Seattle, getting seasick along the way. He talks about going into the immigration office and being interrogated before being released and re-learning English.
