Description

Ida begins the interview talking about his family background and his father and mother coming from Japan and settling in Hawaii. He would attend Mid-Pacific Institute while his father worked at the Japanese consulate and his mother did laundry. Next, he talks about the money-pooling called Tanomoshi and the childhood games he and friends would play growing up. He would also play baseball often, and would end up playing throughout college and even in the military.
