Description

Miyamoto recalls his experiences at various military encampments including Camp Robinson in Arkansas, and Camps Carson and Hale in Colorado. His family was incarcerated at Granada (Amache) Concentration Camp, and he recalls being denied access to visit his family despite his being dressed in military uniform. Eventually he is allowed access to visit them and he describes his impressions of the dusty, cramped quarters. He describes the predicaments of his siblings and their whereabouts during the war, and then describes his own strategies for navigating his time in the armed services.
