Description

Ishida discusses traveling overseas to Europe and his first experiences there; meeting up with the 100th Infantry Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team; and his first combat experiences. He then talks about his guard duty assignment during the Champagne Campaign; getting wounded; experiencing enemy fire; and his hospital stay. Next, Ishida talks about his office job after his hospital stay; discusses the Gothic Line; and talks about friendships with fellow soldiers. Lastly, Ishida talks about soldiers killed in action; his assignment processing German POWs; and the black market.
