Description

Tamura recounts the arrival in Menton France and eventual combat experience in Livorno, Italy at the German Army's Winter Line. He provides a detailed description of the heavy weaponry he operated and the features of the assault against the Germans in the mountains. After the War ended, he describes the pleasurable experience of spending time with Nisei troops and playing sports and sightseeing in Rome. He returns to the United States and is reassigned to an engineering company.
