Description

Ikeda discusses how he got his nickname; and talks about his parents and growing up on a farm in Clovis, California. He then talks about playing softball, high school, attending Japanese language school, and religion. Lastly, Ikeda recalls being at basic training at Camp Roberts during the attack on Pearl Harbor, discusses joining the Army, and provides some thoughts regarding the start of the war.
