Fujimoto discusses traveling to Rome; getting a pass and spending time in the Italian countryside; and combat experiences including a story regarding a tank. He then talks about attending a battalion award ceremony, discusses his duties as a radioman during the Lost Battalion rescue, and talks about witnessing soldiers killed in action. Next Fujimoto talks about radio transmissions that were sent out during the Lost Battalion rescue, teaching a radio code class, and talks about his experiences at Bruyeres including delivering magazines to foxholes, discussing tree bursts, and his experiences with enemy fire.
