Description

Kazumura talks about his hosptial visit after he drank gasoline by accident; discusses getting new boots; talks about his Army friendships; talks about how he helped save a wounded soldier; and discusses his combat experiences at Hill 140. Next, Kazumura talks about receiving the Bronze Star; his relationship with Lieutenant [Burns]; tells a story regarding a fellow soldier's supply detail; and talks about the end of the war. Kazumura also talks about returning to the United States; discusses his wife and children; talks about moving to Seattle; discusses the achievements of Nisei veterans; and provides some thoughts regarding citizenship and his Army service. Lastly, Kazumura provides a message to future generations; discusses his post-war employment and schooling; talks about his favorite airplane while working at Boeing; and shows a picture of himself with Lieutenant [Burns] that was taken at Camp Shelby for an issue of the Stars and Stripes newspaper.
