Description

In this segment, Martin Tohara talks about the different types of heavy weaponry he encountered during the war. He also shares his memories of Spark Matsunaga. Tohara also speaks about how after being drafted he was asked to help with pronunciation of other Japanese names and his feelings about the war in general. At the end of the segment, Tohara tells us about things to remember about the war and how Japanese Americans are able to live the way they do today because of the Nisei veterans. Legacy is important to Tohara, and he is doing his part to keep the legacy of the 100th alive by educating others about the war.
