Roy Nakawatase oral history interview, part 1 of 8, January 25, 2003
Roy Nakawatase begins the interview by discussing the background of his father and mother, detailing his parents' travels to the US and working on the farm. He describes his childhood on the farm, the presence of the Japanese culture in his home, and his experiences with other non-Japanese families around the town. Nakawatase ends the interview by discussing childhood in grammar school.
