Description

In this segment, Frank Kimura introduces himself and his hometown of Fresno. He also talks about his family and how his parents' had a difficult journey to the United States. As Kimura talks about his family and growing up on a farm, we learn he is close with his brother and mother, but distant from his father. Kimura also talks about life on the farm and his experiences in both English school and Japanese language school. To him, English school involved more fun, but Japanese school was strictly learning the language. Home for Kimura was very basic, but he learned values. Interaction with the Japanese families occurred when they came together for New Year's celebrations.
