Description

In this segment, Katsumi "Kats" Hikido speaks about his life and experiences spent after he and his family were "evacuated" from their home. He talks about going to Turlock Assembly Center before moving to Gila River Concentration Camp. Hikido provides details on many of his experiences during this time including conditions, his attitude, and acts of kindness from others. He also talks about the loyalty questionnaire and his experience with it. Lastly, Hikido recounts the transitions he experienced, from briefly attending Fenn College in Cleveland to being drafted as a replacement for the 442nd.
