Description

In this interview segment, Mr. Mac Nagata describes translating Japanese correspondence, his time spent in New Caledonia, the Guadalcanal Offensive, and translating Japanese code books. Then, he recalls interrogating Japanese P.O.W.s, fighting malaria multiple times, the conditions of Guadalcanal, as well as his duties while stationed in Guadalcanal. Mr. Nagata concludes with describing his correspondence with his family, memorable Japanese P.O.W.s, as well as the time spent on the Fiji Islands.
