He then talks about receiving decorations such as the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Presidential Unit Citation; discusses his interactions with Italian girls; talks about his experiences attending dances at Rohwer incarceration camp; and discusses his childhood girlfriend. Lastly, Muto talks about writing letters to former classmates and old friends; discusses his experiences while visiting Genoa and Vatican City; and talks about his duties guarding German POWs and items that were confiscated during the time of their surrender.
