Files

Dublin Core

Description

Sato looks through a few more pictures, while narrating his whereabouts at the end of the war, going from Ghedi through Florence, processing prisoners of war, and getting promoted to staff sergeant. As he didn't have enough points to head home yet, he would continue staying at the POW camp and would get to travel to Switzerland. Shortly after, he would return to the United States, first stopping in New York before heading back to Chicago to get his discharge. His family in the meantime would head back to Fresno, where he would learn that his car was still there, safe and sound. After this, he talks about his family background, including meeting his wife and his children and grandchildren.
