Description

Takao discusses volunteering for the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and going to the mainland for basic training. Takao and five friends volunteer and only himself and a friend is selected. Takao is assign to Company C, First Battalion, Fourth Platoon as a motorman. On leave, Takao experience cultural shock with segregation. Also Takao explains his feeling about Nisei Mainlanders.
