Nakabe discusses his parents including his father's immigration, employment, physical traits, demeanor; and talks about his mother's physical traits and demeanor. He then talks about lessons he learned from his father, the community he grew up in, discusses his siblings, and talks about childhood food. Next, Nakabe continues to talk about his childhood including discussing fishing, celebrating holidays, and food served at New Years. Lastly, Nakabe talks about his relationship with his siblings, childhood friendships, playing sports, and describes the school house he attended.
