Description

Guy begins the interview talking about his family background, and his father coming from Liverpool and settling on the east coast. He would grow up in uptown New York, playing a lot of football and basketball and attending a variety of different schools. He talks about the holidays his family would celebrate and the potato pancakes that his family used to make. Next, he talks about his experience hearing on the radio that Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor. Shortly after that, he would be drafted into the Army and find himself being inducted before being sent to Fort Dix and then Camp Croft in South Carolina.
