Description

Hashimoto discusses his first combat experience in Anzio; and describes experiences in combat including the living conditions, being under attack, witnessing the death of soldiers and fellow comrades, going on patrols, liberating Italian cities, and friendships with Hawaiian soldiers. He also talks about the rivalry between the 100th and 442nd, meeting up with the 442nd in Civitavecchia; and describes how the 100th got attached to the 44nd. Lastly, Hashimoto describes crossing the Arno River and going to Southern France; and recalls his experiences visiting Bruyeres with his wife after World War Two.
