Description
Takano discusses Germany's highway system; talks about traveling in Germany; and discusses the encounters he had with prisoners near Dacahu concentration camp. He then talks about the end of the war including his guard duty assignment while waiting to return to the United States and joining the 28th Infantry Division; and returning to the United States and getting discharged. Next, Takano discusses his post-war employment as a fireman; joining the reserves; attending college; and getting recalled. Lastly, Takano discusses his assignments in Korea and Japan; talks about visiting his relatives in Japan; and discusses going to school at Fort Lee.
